Dermaroller is a device consisting of a disk with micro-needles that creates over 500,000 microchannels in a matter of minutes to help the penetration of the product into the skin.
Dermaroller treatment is a procedure that is preferred for skin tightening and is done in 4-6 sessions, with a different product used in each session.
Dermaroller treatment is a collagen stimulation therapy that is performed without peeling or burning the skin and without causing damage to healthy tissues. It has no side effects. Using a dermaroller can increase the transdermal penetration of the product by forty times, making it more effective. It can be safely applied to all skin types. Avoid contact with water for 12 hours after the treatment. It can be done in any season.
Dermaroller application has shown positive results in tightening enlarged pores, treating acne scars, reducing under-eye dark circles, and addressing issues such as hair loss. The increased penetration of products into the skin using dermaroller for various purposes is referred to as “dermatherapy.” Regular skin care products prevent the depletion of certain building blocks under the skin or attempt to renew them, but most of these products lose their effectiveness before reaching the skin’s lower layers. Dermaroller creates extremely small channels on the skin, allowing stem cell extracts or other products to penetrate the skin more than 200 times. When applied to the skin, the needles on the cylindrical drum create microchannels on the skin’s surface. These channels can be thought of as passageways opening into the dermis. Dermaroller is typically applied in a star pattern around 6-10 times in each area. When the same area is treated repeatedly, approximately 250-300 microchannels are created per square centimeter. Generally, there is no bleeding during the creation of these microchannels. The microchannels close on their own within approximately 20 minutes without leaving any visible marks. Another benefit of dermatherapy comes from the effect of the dermaroller itself. The microchannels created by the dermaroller are perceived by the skin as wounds, initiating a self-repair mechanism. Although there is no actual wound in the environment, the skin starts synthesizing substances such as collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin fibrils due to the secretion of growth factors. Since there is no actual wound in the environment, all these substances produced provide anti-aging effects on your skin. It is observed that fine lines and wrinkles decrease, and burn and acne scars lighten.
